EOI - Physical Performance Testing AAC

Each field and program within NATA’s accreditation activity has an Accreditation Advisory Committee (AAC). The AAC has a unique and important role within NATA. It provides input to operations within the relevant field or program and advice to the Board at a technical level.

An AAC is a group of experts appointed by the Board on the basis of their knowledge and technical expertise in the area of work covered by the particular field or program of accreditation. Each person’s appointment is for a fixed term, these being staggered to preserve continuity within the Committee.

The Physical Performance Testing Accreditation Advisory Committee (PPT AAC) within NATA is seeking expressions of interest from individuals with expertise in any of the following areas of physical performance testing:

  • Building materials and architectural products
  • Packaging
  • Pedestrian surfaces
  • Plumbing equipment and water appliances

It is highly desirable for applicants to have:

  • substantial practical experience in the industrial application of those geotechnical and civil construction materials related testing methods for which they have expert knowledge;
  • demonstrated commitment to and an understanding of the principles of accreditation;
  • significant exposure to the NATA accreditation process.

The PPT AAC is established to provide input to NATA’s Physical Performance Testing field of accreditation in a way that represents the interests of accredited testing facilities and the broader industry. The term of appointment for new members is five years.

The closing date for nominations is 25 August 2017. Successful nominees will be formally invited to participate in the activities of the PPT AAC following the approval of NATA’s Board.
