NATA

As advised in previous editions of NATA News, ISO/IEC 17025 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories is currently under review.

As the review progresses and there is information to share, NATA will post updates for Members, Technical Assessors and interested stakeholders on the NATA website.  A dedicated space on the NATA home page has been created for these updates.

The first such update outlining the standards review process, the status of the ISO/IEC 17025 review and some changes which can be expected in a new version was posted to the NATA website during the first week in April.

A subgroup of Working Group 44 (the group tasked to review the Standard) will be meeting in early May.  It is hoped that more information may be available following this meeting.  The comments on the Draft International Standard will not, however, be considered by all members of Working Group 44 until July 2017.

Once again, when information becomes available it will be shared with all relevant parties.  Until then, check out the latest update on the NATA website and if you have any questions, contact your relevant Client Coordinator in the first instance.
