The NDT Accreditation Advisory Committee (AAC) is established to provide input to NATA’s NDT field of accreditation in a way that represents the interests of accredited NDT facilities and the broader NDT industry.  NATA is now inviting nominations for replacement positions on the NDT AAC arising from the expiration/cessation of the terms of three existing members.

The AAC membership is diverse and includes representatives from both the commercial testing and in-house testing sectors, as well as representation from other groups, such as owners of major assets and the engineering services sector.

Applicants are expected to have:

  • substantial practical experience in the industrial application of those non-destructive testing methods for which they have expert knowledge;
  • demonstrated commitment to the principles of accreditation; and
  • had significant exposure to the NATA accreditation process.

The term of appointment for new members is five years.  Persons who have previously served on the committee are also eligible to apply.  Meetings of the committee are held every 12 to 24 months.  Further information regarding involvement on the NDT AAC may be obtained from the document “Role of the AAC, Chairman and Members”.

The closing date for nominations is 15 September 2017 and nominations addressing the criteria detailed above, together with a full CV for the nominated individual, should be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Successful nominees will be formally invited to participate in the activities of the committee following the approval of NATA’s Board.
