History of Non Destructive Testing in Australia

The most recent project of the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) has been the publication of the History of Non-destructive Testing in Australia, which was launched at the Annual Dinner of the NSW Branch on 17th July 2004.

The book was written by David Barnett and published by Tony Sonneveld who was the driving force behind the project. It contains over 470 pages and 196 graphics and photographs, and is a good read for anyone with an interest in NDT.

Many references to NATA and its officers are included in the book along with photos of Rob Oke, Keith Stanton, Jan Chamberlain and many NDT NATA assessors.

Members of AINDT can obtain their free copy from their Branch Secretary. These will be available for distribution at branch meetings or you can send a cheque for AUD $10.00 to cover postage to your Branch address.
