A meeting of Victorian and Tasmanian NATA Members and Assessors was held on Wednesday 13 April 2016. The meeting was designed to have a very strong technical focus as well as providing time for discussion on issues that may affect members and Assessors.
The meeting comprised two aspects:
- A brief Corporate update, followed by details of recent changes to NATA’s accreditation requirements, and
- A technical forum that discussed equipment assurance and calibration.
Not only was it conducted as a face-to-face meeting with Members and Assessors, but for the first time it was broadcast via webinar. This was to allow a greater number of remote or non city based Members and Assessors to take part.
On this occasion some 130 participants attended face-to-face, with a further 75 participants joining the meeting via webinar.
It is planned to continue trialling this dual method of delivery for future meetings of Members and Assessors.
Meetings will be scheduled in South Australia in the coming months, followed by meetings in New South Wales and the ACT later in the year.
