Expression of Interest - Physical Performance Testing AAC

The Physical Performance Testing Accreditation Advisory Committee (PPTAAC) advises NATA on technical issues related to material, mechanical and performance evaluation of products and equipment.

Positions are honorary with the initial term of appointment being five years.  Reappointment for three years may be possible following the initial term. 

The Committee convenes at 12 to 24 month intervals with NATA meeting all costs for travel and accommodation.  It is expected that Committee Members make themselves available to attend all meetings.

Committee members are appointed for their knowledge and technical expertise.  The duties of a Committee Member include, but not limited to: 

  • Providing advice on the review of NATA’s Accreditation Criteria applicable to physical performance testing;
  • Review of assessment reports for applicant and accredited facilities, where required;
  • Provision of advice on technical issues arising from assessment activity; and
  • Review and approval of the appointment of technical assessors.

The PPTAAC is currently seeking expressions of interest to join the Committee from persons qualified and experienced in evaluation of air control equipment; particular expertise in the following areas would be an advantage:

  • Air conditioning and heating systems
  • Clean rooms and cytotoxic drug environments
  • Fume cupboards and extraction systems 

Current PPTAAC members holding these positions are able to reapply.

Applicants must:

  • Hold suitable qualifications and have a minimum of 10 years practical experience;
  • Be familiar with NATA’s accreditation criteria through either practical experience in an accredited facility or experience as a NATA technical assessor;
  • Be committed to NATA and the accreditation process;
  • Be committed to abide by NATA’s policies, including the need to maintain confidentiality, be objective, act impartially and to declare any conflicts of interest;
  • Prepare for and attend AAC meetings.

Applications will close on 10 April 2019 and will be considered by the current AAC Members.

Final approval of AAC membership rests with the NATA Board.
